Okay, got a lot done yesterday. The whole jury duty thing sucked, but I got out of it so cool. After that I went and saw my tattoo guy who asked me to come back today. I should do that soon. Then, I relocated my cats to their new temporary home. Those poor guys. Since she got them they've lived in Maryland for a month, with me just over three, with my buddy for almost four, and now they're staying with another person. But she's great and I have every confidence that she will care for them as if they were her own. When I took them over she had just gotten a new kitten that only had one eye. It didn't slow her down, she was playing and running all over that place. What a cutie.
After all that I went and hung out at the recruiter's office for a bit, ate some free pizza and helped my situation along nicely. Got the phone call I've been waiting for around 1930 last night which went great. It was the commander of Lexington recruiting and he was a great guy. We spent more time joking than actually talking about my enlistment. The guy was too funny. One piece of advice he passed on to me from his brother was; "There are other fish in the sea, but if you don't catch anything with your rod and reel, drain the fucking water and go scoop one up." Well, I guess it was more funny than good advice. Not really sure how to apply that to my life. I see the meaning, but don't see the application just yet. Really not looking to apply it actually. I'm just going to live my life and hope I don't get blowed up by some idiot.
