Woohoo!
Plans have changed a little!
In my last post I was a little sad that we were going up to Canada but for such a short visit we wouldn't be able to see any sights, well now it's not a rushed trip at all. In fact we're making a mega-roadtrip out of it! Yay!
We're heading straight up through Idaho first, then continuing up through the Canadian border, turning right & traveling east the whole way to Toronto!
I'm so excited. We're going to see so much Canadian landscape, plus we'll be doing it during the time of year I've always wanted to see it, fall.
To my Canadian friends here-
Any big road-rule differences I need to know of?
And any sights you can recommend along the way*?
*Our way- Route 15 through Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Montana to the border, then the TransCanada Highway 1 the whole way through Alberta (stopping at Lethbridge), Saskatchewan, Manitoba & Ontario.
Worth detouring to see Calgary?
Stay in Moose Jaw or Regina?
What is there to see in Winnipeg?
Anywhere amazing to stay near Dryden? Thunder Bay? Sudbury? And all along the southern coast of Ontario...
Oh and what should I check out in big Toronto?! I could be there a few weeks.
I've only checked the towns along the main freeways via googlemaps, so if anyone has some scenic routes/ interesting accommodation/ any suggestions at all for things to see off the main-drag, I'd love to hear them... and quick! We're leaving in the next couple of days.
