See this bandwagon? Well I'm jumping on it.
2005: A year in review.
Started the year in Wellington on holidays, those finished quickly and straight back to work.
Mum visited New Zealand in Jan which was awesome to spend some time with her after so long.
Worked, worked, worked & I did pretty well this year I thought. In fact I'm hella proud of my work this year.
Spent a lot of time playing games and watching stuff in my off-time. Spent thousands of dollars on dvds alone!
Went to Aus to see NIN in August, met Trent Reznor, got depressed at how little I meant to my Aus friends now, came back and worked, worked, worked. I got a really bad ear infection for a few months which made every sound hurt my head, contemplated getting the tattoo (again), made a couple of Auckland friends, grew my hair longer and girlier than usual and gained a girly inch or two on the hips. I didn't touch E, speed, coke, heroin or anything of the chemical type this year although I did discover Jacob's Creek Sav Blanc to be my new favourite wine, enjoyed a few gins, kahluas and the usual smoke. I discovered the difference between using all-natural body products and the usual crap I used to use. I'm now one of those who spends too much $ at places like Lush & Body Shop.
Later in the year I started building a scenery model which I'm still working on, that is proving to be fun and is becoming expensive. Then the psp came out and was all-consuming in my life, and that is also proving to be fun and expensive!
Went to Armageddon and had a great day being geeky
I grew an intolerance for immigrants who aren't interested in learning any english.
A few days before the end of 05 I purchased a exercycle in hope to inspire myself into losing those inches I gained. So far I've worked up to 10kms a day. Let's watch it collect dust in a few months tho...
Nik & I ended the year by watching the skytower fireworks from Albert park then went home and continued making models. It was a bit of an anti-climax.
Concerts of 2005: Nine Inch Nails (see my "best gig ever" review from August's entry), Diamanda Galas, Billy Corgan, Interpol.
Movies & TV of 2005: Batman Begins, Sin City, Serenity, Star Trek Enterprise s4, Battlestar Galactica s1,
Games of 2005: GTA Liberty City (psp), Antigrav (ps2 eyetoy), Need for Speed Rivals (psp), Sims 2 (mac), Batman Begins (ps2), Sim City 4 (mac)
Heroes of 2005: Trent Reznor, Batman! Christopher Nolan, PETA, Richard Hatch, Christian Bale
Highlight of 2005: Meeting Trent Reznor
Aniticpations for 2006: New Superman, Batman and Sin City movies, I wanna get buff, buy new clothes, await news for new episodes of Futurama, travel to a country I've never been, get a raise, DO more for charities instead of just giving money and become more tolerant.
