I miss a friend.
I'd known of her ever since I was little. We met a couple of times but never really got to know one another properly - we only ever seemed to meet on shopping trips with relatives or when I used to go to the airport to wave my dad away when he went on business trips.
It wasn't until I was 18 that we really got to know one another. I had made a choice to go to be with her and from then on we were lumped with one another. She taught me a lot and somehow held the cause and solution to all of my problems, but not once did I ever think of leaving her behind in the 3 years we were together in a kind of friendship.
The friendship was one that made me realise a lot about myself. I remember once when I was dealing with clinical depression some friend commenting on her as being "dull and depressing". Wasn't I just the same?
Maybe it was more obvious because she was a city afterall.
