I saw Daniel Johnston last night. He was excellent. I'd never heard him before or seen the documentary, but agreed to go with my friend anyway. I'm really glad I decided to trade off the extra sleep for seeing the show. His songs were surprisingly powerful and poignant - I wasn't really sure what to expect out of the show, but I'm glad I got what I did.
