I got a job at the patent office. I can't wait to start. I've been so frustrated with the whole phd/class/etc. thing lately that I was ready to quit entirely and do construction work or something. At least this way I'll do something interesting + not quit on the doctoral program entirely.

I applied for a position with an engineering firm that builds wind farms. I've got my fingers crossed on that job, I can't think of a more ideal job for me than that.
