I went to bed kind of late, but what felt like mere seconds after I had fallen asleep I was jolted out of bed by my alarm clock going off in the other room. And then pollo, my sister and her boyfriends bird that I detest because it's an annoying pointless excuse of an animal, started squawking. When the squawking ceased I could hear rumbling from the bass of the neighbors entertainment system. First, it's a weeknight. Second, it's 2 a.m. Third, I was on the verge of a break down last semester because of my loud neighbor in the dorms. So I figured it would die down eventually, but I just lay awake on the couch wishing they would turn the damn system off. Then I tried laying in my room, thinking it would be quieter for some reason. My mom scoots over and the second she falls back asleep (mind you this took maybe 45 seconds) she starts snoring. So I went back onto the couch after she seemed upset (offering to sleep on the couch instead) that I got up and knocked my bookshelf down (on accident.) I tried once more to sleep, and started crying. Thankfully Jarod took my morning shift tommorow, but if he hadn't of I think I might be walking over to the neighbors and knocking on their door. I have some serious issues with not getting enough rest and it affecting my mood drastically. So here I am...sitting on the couch..typing on my sister's laptop and drinking green tea. I gave up on sleep.
Basically this just brought up a lot of bad feelings from last semester, and I'm hoping this is NOT a prelude to how it will be this semester. Or I might start popping sleeping pills so that shit doesn't wake me up or keep me up. (this can be a bad idea....) I tried it last semester and I still got woken up, only I was disoriented, sleepier and much angrier.
I think the system finally went off. It's 2:12. Thank god. I know it may seem silly for me to complain about a little noise keeping me up, but I honestly can't get to sleep or go back to sleep when there is noise.
this type of thing is what makes me long to be older......so I may have my own quiet place, away from annoyingly loud people. until then..........how do i make my room soundproof?
Oh, and I would also like to add that now the stupid cat is meowing and pawing at my sister's door. fucking stupid animals and stupid people!!!
I decorated my room some more
and I'm back in Oklahoma.
It was 70 degrees in South Carolina the day before I left. And here, there is an ice storm. My mom cooked up some home-made vegetable soup. I can't wait to devour a bowl of it. I can't wait to see my boyfriend too. and I don't have to work until Sunday. how cool is that
