Personal patient care tasks, such as mouth care, making beds, giving baths, perineal care, hair care, shaving patients, giving backrubs, and emptying bedpans or urinals.
fun times. this is what I'm going to school for! Actually, this is what I am going to school for THIS semester. Once i'm an actual nurse, and not just a nursing assistant (which I am getting trained for this semester) I shouldn't have to be the one emptying the bedpans. That's when I'll yell at the nurse's assistant to go do it for me!

I'm so excited about getting my nursing school paid for by Integris. That's just so cool....taking the burden off of my parents for my college tuition. I'm almost done with all the harry potter books I have (I'm on Order of the Phoenix.) I must say I'm kind of sad, because I've really enjoyed them. I wish they were all movies. I know that's lame, but I really really really like harry potter. It's neat-o.

Oh man. SUCH A RELIEF not to have to go back to Oklahoma early. the thing is.........nobody took my sunday and tuesday shifts so i was freaking out earlier trying to call people and get them covered. Andi took my tuesday morning, and some other people took my tuesday night and both my shifts on sunday. Which is awesome because now I'm not stressed out about figuring how I will get home in time for work, so I can leave on the 4th as planned before. Then I have work on the 6th, and school doesn't start until the freaking 18th. That's so late. I'll probably start my cna course before then though. It's a self study, so I can go whenever I want, but I think I need to sit down and pick a couple days a week to go, and specific times.
I really suck at saving money. When I get back i'm going to be B R O K E.

i was completely against reading the books or seeing the movies until last may when finals in cali were around and i decided that would be a good time to start reading the books. yea... it was ... they were smashing. i'm excited to bits for the book in july. there has been a lot posted around about the new movie that they're trying to make it into an hour and a half. which is shorter than the last three and it would cut out huge chucks of the book since it's so huge. the goblet of fire and the order of the phoenix should both be two movies each there's just too much to cover. yea.
it used to be my dirty secret to like harry potter, and now it's sort of like my buffy shame, i should feel ashamed for the imense amount of time, money and resources that are spent fueling my obsession but i'm not.
