AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know what to do about an injured bunny found on the side of the road??? Nate and I were driving down my street and I saw a bunny laying down in the road and her head moved, so I told him to pull over and I ran back to get her just in time to wave 2 cars out of the way who almost ran her over!! She kept rolling her head back and forth, so I figured she got knocked on the sie of the head and was in shock. When I picked her up it just looked like her leg was kinda hurt and one of her eyes looked a little bloody, but as I carried her back to his car I saw blood starting to drip down her chest. Her mouth is all banged up! I think her jaw or at least some of her teeth are broken. So we brought her back to my house and put her in a little cage w/ newspaper, and now she seems alert, but she's bleeding a lot, and the humane society isn't open.
Should I give her water?? Food?? For now I just put her in my bro's room cuz it's dark and quiet, but didn't give her any food or water cuz she might still be in shock so i don't know if it's good for her right now. But if anyone has advice it would be appreciated!!! I'm taking her to the humane society tomorrow. I hope she's ok.
I'm just happy she's not going to be another squished bunny on the road.
