New York was amazing ... as always....
Another new Prada ... hot off the street .... lime green crocodile
Lots of art...I was like a kid in a candy store in MoMA....I decided that my three pieces I'd steal that day were the Rothko (of course), the Munch, and the Chagall...I doubt it would be possible as they are all so large that the wind would hold me back....
Sad to leave...it is such an amazing city. Someday, I'll be writing to you all from there.
I helped my sister apartment hunt. She started her new job on Monday. She's working on St. John the Devine - which if ever finished will be the largest Gothic cathedral in the world...she gets to climb the scafolding, go behind yellow ropes, and wear a hard hat....I've decided that she sucks....but i love her anyway.
Wretched flight home though...an hour on the plane waiting for it to take off and then the lady next to me spilled a bit of her drink on my lap as I slept...waking up to an uncomfortable wet feeling on my right leg....ugh....
I can't wait to go back this summer....that's the best part of having my sister so far away...at least its a fantastic city to get to visit her in.

I too wish i were back in nyc. The greatest city in the world. It feels more like home to me than Glasgow most days. I like the Munch stuff in moma, one of my favorites (the sream was the first painting to really grab me, i still have the print in my bedroom) although i did enjoy the Rockwell and the Pollock exhibits i've seen there too. ciao.
for some reason, i've always had a strong attachment for St. John the Divine. i first learned about her as a high school freshman, but last visited more than 30 years ago. i think i donated a dollar that day.
i bet not much has changed (visibly) since then. there's something cool about a building that can be under construction for more than a 100 years, more than a person's entire lifetime, and still not be done.
what is your sister doing for the cathedral?
last night as i lay in bed (not able to fall asleep), i was posing myself in my head for the statue series.
