I just posted some of my artwork...mostly photos and some drawings. I tried to keep the photos to those where one couldn't directly makeout the person's face. I don't want to piss anyone off just yet...actually it helped to cut down the variables by 2/3. I have a lot of shit. I still have to do my paintings. I had to leave so many of them at home when I moved out here because they were

A. Too big
B. Too fragile

to shove into my tightly packed van. The longer you are in art school...the bigger you end up painting. Which then becomes a bitch to move. Hence, I am trying to keep my paintings to the size that will fit flatly into my car. Even though I am itching to dive into a GIANT canvas. Its so wonderful to have your whole body involved in the creation process. Its also nice to be able to throw everything you have into a car in case of a midnight escape...he he he

I refuse to talk about my day because it SUCKED big time...coming back after being gone for two days is a NIGHTMARE...and I swear everyone was intentionally trying to piss me off today because they think its funny when I pull my hair in all directions. Its not ... really...well, maybe a little. But they still shouldn't do it.

Now for a cat nap with my pug.

Sorry to hear your day was shitty, mine was pretty cool except for tonight's movie which I just decided to give up on. The drawings: I really like #2, that stomach is something else. Next #7, then perry and courtney also smile . They're all way beyond anything I could attempt. As far as the photos go, I'm not sure I'm qualified to give any kind of real serious opinion. I just don't know what all goes into photography aside from the day to day point & click smiling relatives and such. I definately don't see anything wrong with 'em. This is just me, but I think it's important: I'd rather get negative criticism from somebody who's opinion I value than an enthusiastic response when I know it's not weighted in much. Having said that, I will tell you which ones I like the best without really being able to say why. black & white I like 1, 8, & 13. Why is somebody drawing on a cigarette ALWAYS a good shot? Maybe because I'm a nicotine freak and I haven't had a smoke since September, I dunno. In the color photos I dig 9 & 10 the most. Another just me: I have some odd art "hang-ups" so to speak & I think that in photography I only really care about the subject, I don't really want to be aware that it is an involved process that requires work and thought. I can assure you that if I were a photographer my pictures would be crap because I'd probably insist upon doing them with as little forethought & decision-making as possible. Anyhow, BRAVO for you & thanks for putting them up, I thoroughly enjoyed them!
I'm sure it's quite entertaining to see you pulling your hair in all directions. Is it advisable to give a pug a cat nap? miao!!

ya know, now i know which string to pull to make you jealous! like, i bought a big chunk of Norman's Bread at French Meadow on Friday. on saturday, it was 55 and sunny, so i sat at Bob's drinking coffee all afternoon. ha!

there's a pretty strong SG Twin Cities group. after LA, New York and San Francisco, we're the most regional active group. there are about 200 members, with a core group of 25. the preferred group activity is breakfast at CC Club almost every saturday. neodrunk is our Den Mother. members smitty, pinko, taiko, rylie, billybillybilly (the group owner), hattie, me, SuicideGirl judas, and SuicideGirl roby all live within 3 or 4 blocks of Hum's (as a landmark). dakota and columbianlvr live above It's Greek To Me.

i'm sure billybillybilly would let you into the group (it's private). you'd face homesickness every day, though. frown

i'm happy to add you as a friend. seems like you'll be a good one for conversation, and i sure can identify with the wasteland that is Las Vegas!

just a thought...you might want to peek in on Sisu. you two seem to have a lot in common as art teachers, and she's isolated on the tundra of Saskatchawan.
