Today was a very interesting day.
First I'll start by saying that after spending a very uneventful week at home, I got back into Philly and today I was scheduled to do a shoot for the cover of Garage Magazine.
That was an honor in itself, but to top it all off, my photographer was none other than Timothy White. I'm really hoping that many of you are reading that name and asking yourselves, "Who's that?" because at the beginning of the day, I was asking myself the same question.
I learned about Tim today and saw a lot of his work at his studio. I didn't know this at first...but he's one of the most famous celebrity photographers out there. He showed me a group of pictures he took of Brad Pitt while they were on a motorcycle trip together. Holy shit.
His wife Alysha was my hair and makeup person, and she worked alongside Mia, who was in charge of my wardrobe. After the shoot was over, I overheard Alysha and Mia talking about people they've either enjoyed working with, or did not enjoy working with. Some of the names tossed around were Matt Dillon, Lindsay Lohan and Ben Afleck. Mia also made a phone call to someone asking if they were still scheduled to shoot the Olsen twins on the 27th. Holy shit.
So yeah. Wow. I felt like such a small timer after learning about all the big name celebrities that these people normally work with. But everyone was super nice and down to earth, so it made the experience very pleasant.
Okay, not entirely pleasant. We did the shoot underneath a bridge in NYC in 40 degree weather, and it was raining. All I had on was panties and a corset, then later just panties and a boa. It was fucking COLD. The girls had to throw a robe on me in between shots and rub my arms to keep me warm. Not to mention whenever cars would go by, people would slow down and gawk at me, or on a few occasions, roll the windows and try talking to me and/or make lewd comments. Oh joy.
So that was my day in a nutshell. Oh yeah, I found out who's going to be the cover girl for the next issue of Garage after me...Dita Von Teese. Holy shit.
