What the fuck happened to the nice weather?! Friday it was in the 30's and it was sleeting/hailing all day, not to mention the wind gusts were terrible. The weather got bad enough that the school closed around 3 and I got to leave work early...which is cool because my boss is still going to pay me my full rate.
Saturday I went with Steve to meet our mutual friend Lauren from Michigan, and to go to the Roller Derby Expo in Feasterville...I must be way out of the loop because I honestly had no concept of what roller derbies were all about until I saw it for the first time this weekend, but watching it made me want to fucking join a team. For other newbies who don't really know what it is, it's basically two teams skating around in circles trying to bump each other out of the way so that the "jammer" from each team can pass the opposing team and score points. It took me awhile to figure out the dynamics of it, since there's obviously a lot more to it than that...but skating around and bumping into people while potentially causing serious physical harm to myself and others seems really fun. Too bad I'm wicked out of shape and can't skate for shit.
We were going to go back again today but Steve has acquired a violent sickness that stopped us from doing so, and apparently I'm getting sick now, too. Which is great since this is finals week for me. What horrible timing.
Orange juice, work your magic. I can't afford to become ill right now.
Back to work for me.
UPDATE: I am extremely sick now. That didn't take long. Ugh, feel like dying...

And thanks!
And feel better real soon!
And, yeah, tell me about it with that freakish weather change over the weekend. I got home from work on Friday and realized my ice scraper was in my honey's car. So I figured I'd stand my windshield wipers up so they didn't get ice glued to my car. This was the first time I've EVER done that. Next morning I went out to my car and some ass clown had snapped my driver side wiper completely off!!! It was a clean break, there's no way it could've been accidental. I wanted to KILL!!! That's my new car, man, my baby.
I'm really happy to hear you're making progress with yer boy. Even if you guys just stay friends, at least he's back in your life.
Feel better, cookie. xoxo♥
