This weekend was fucking insane.
Friday afternoon while I was at work I took a trip down to Giovanni's to get some pizza and I noticed they had a bouncy ball vending machine. It took 4 quarters...out of curiosity I checked my coat pocket for change and sure enough I had exactly 4 quarters. Normally I ignore impulses to buy things I know I probably won't use...but for some reason I felt like if I did, it would in some way or another teach me a valuable life lesson. (AKA I'd either bring it back into work and break something, or we'd have a lot of fun with it and it would make time go by faster.)
The first thing that happened when I brought it in was bounce it too high and it broke one of the lights. Whoops. Luckily I was able to fix it so the manager wasn't too mad. After that, my coworkers Kevin and Jackie and the manager Jason took turns bowling with it. We set up some cups at the end of the walkway and took turns rolling/bouncing the ball at the cups. Bowling with a bouncy ball is really flippin' hard for those of you who are curious. Oh, we also gave the ball a name: Ultimate Death Ball Face (Debbie). We call her Debbie for short.
After work I took a train to Aberdeen to see FireSS and her future hubby h445. They have such a cute apartment and tons of fun Nightmare Before Christmas stuff that I want so bad! Too bad I'm poor . I ate at Fuddruckers for the first time (wasn't too impressed with their chicken sandwich but the shake was super yummy) and afterwards we went to the Ottobar to see Peelander Z. I was not familiar with Peelander Z until I saw them that night but have thenceforth decided that they are FUCKING AWESOME and everyone needs to see them live at some point. For others that aren't familiar with them, they're a Japanese Action Comic Punk band that dress like the power rangers on crack and sing about medium-rare steak, mad tigers and....YYY. Yeah, there's a song where they just say "YYY! YYY!" over and over again. And they give the crowd pots and pans to bang on. It was pretty crazy. It probably would have been even crazier if I had been drunk.
On Saturday I was taken to Fells Point, which I guess is like a little shopping area and bought a ridiculous fuzzy hat, because I've always wanted one but for some reason never saw any sense in buying one. Well, fuck it. I bought it and it's awesome. I might post a picture of it if I get around to it. After that we to Medieval Times (which was also my first time) with the aforementioned affianced couple and their friends Les and Keenan. Right before we went in I got a call from my mom that my sister Kathy was in the emergency room and that she may have a blood clot in her lung. Wow. That fucking threw off my mood pretty bad. I wanted to cry but held back because I still wasn't sure how serious it was, but all I could think when I was in Medieval Times was "my sister is going to fucking die." I still managed to enjoy the show as best as I could given the circumstances but it wasn't easy. My mom called me near the end of the show to let me know, "Your sister is fine, she's going home right now." WHAT?! I mean, don't get me wrong, I was ecstatic that my sister was okay after thinking for two hours that she might die, but...why the Hell would my mom give me such misleading information if she wasn't even sure it was the case or not? That really pissed me off. As it turns out they did some more tests and found out she had carbon monoxide poisoning...what the hell ass balls? They think that she got it at work because the rest of her family is okay...man she should totally sue the company if that's the case and get a shit-ton of money.
Today h335 and FireSS drove me home and I took them out for Chinese. Originally I had intended to take them to the Italian Bistro which is arguably much more upscale, but they had an hour and a half waiting time. Fuck that. I have a lot of leftovers...I think I might indulge in some of them now.
So yeah, my weekend in a nutshell.....Ultimate Death Ball Face (Debbie), crazy Japanese punk band, thinking my sister was going to die and watching Knights joust while stuffing my face with chicken. And enjoying the company of good friends. Thanks again guys for having me, I loves you

WOW! Helluva week-end, but sounds like you took it all in stride, and most of it was fun. I id Midevieal times, once. I was cool, but I didn't really dig the eating with your hands bit. I knwo it sounds kinda Prima Donna to say so, but fuck- I was dressed pretty nice that night,so I kept worrying I'd get something on me!

Anytime I ask people if they want to go to Medieval Times, they're like "hellz no im not that lame." And a dollar for a bouncy ball? I hope its one really big ball cause that's a rip.
