I think we have a winner. This dude came by to try out today and he was as good as Tim (Timmy!). He didn't have a problem jumping between the rock and the country-ish ones and was confident playing an improvised solo on the first or second try. The bad thing, which is really NOT that bad is he was 43. Not to be an ageist or whatever but you wouldn't think a 43 year old would be rockin' out for very long. But then that's only about 10-12 years older than the rest of us so who are we to judge? We got along well with him and he played well. What else do you need? So, hopefully, we can start making some progress now. I want to be ready to open for the Old 97's by the time they come around here again. That will be the goal. Although I have no clue how to achieve that...It will be the goal, regardless. Another cool thing about this and the other guys trying out was they weren't turned off by my singing. So, hooray for me. If good musicians can stand it then I think most people should be able to. So that leaves me as the one that CAN'T stand it...
I'm making tacos for breakfast/lunch/dinner whatever the hell time it is. I'm eating for the first and last time today so ehh. Come eat with me. And then we can rub each other's backs or something.

lol... when you said {Struts}, I pictured that scene from Urban Cowboy when John Travolta is strutting down the street. Just too funny.
