Well, well, well... where did June go?
I ♥ the photo collage thing that's doing the rounds
N'ham was a mixed bag. The house move caused lots of family tensions, though this was offset with evenings catching up with people I don't get too see often enough.
Dorset was good. The weather was superb, the scenery stunning, the University mediocre but sufficient, and I found a suitable Montessouri nursery for Mini E.
The first night we hit up the beach at Bournemouth.
The view that made me fall in love... kite surfing, windsurfing and sailing in Poole Quay
Sandbanks
Lower park, Bournemouth
A visit to Durdle Door seems like a good idea until you realise that it's fucking miles to get down there.
Man O'War bay
Little known fact for you... whilst I have no issue with heights and will happily throw myself from them whilst tied to ropes etc, I hatehatehatehatehate steps/ladders etc. The decision to wear an incredibly tight skirt this day was also a mistake. Those steps are only part of the way up.
More fucking steps down to Man O'War Bay
Lulworth Cove was far easier to get to. I somehow managed to lose the ball from my labret whilst I was in the sea, and by the time I'd found a replacement it wouldn't go back in. My face still feels wrong
The sky at Alum Chine was phenomenal.
Mini E tried to feed grass to a wild donkey in the New Forest.
She had to carry her own bag again
Stonehenge was a lot smaller than I'd expected. Mini E kept trying to get in for a closer look.
On another note.... whilst I was away I met somebody, which proved that the 'plenty of other fish' nonsense is indeed true. It's amazing what you can find when you're not even looking for it, and certainly puts other distractions into perspective.
So... what did I miss?
