So far I'm doing alright on my playoff predictions.
I nailed the NJ/Boston series; Devils in 5
I thought Ottawa would sweep the Isles but
the Isles won 1 game.
I had no idea the Red Wings would run into JS
Giguere. I guess Stevie Y is goin' out like that.
The Avs should wrap things up Sat. at home.
The Wild have shown me one thing - they have no goal scorers in the playoffs. It's a sad State of Hockey.
Dallas should win, and I'd rather go there for a conf. final if it happens since work is easier there and the flights cheaper, etc, etc. I still like Ryan Smyth.
Vancouver still could make it 7 games but I think the Blues will win that one. I want to go there in the next round - easy trip and decent town.
TBay I predicted will beat the Caps but that one is close, too, as is Philly and the Leafs, though I think the Flyers will persevere.
Minnesota fans (and newspaper columnists) think we here in Colorado know fuck-all about hockey. And we can teach them a thing or two about calf - ropin' and bull ridin'. For the most part - they're right.
Here's a few things we can also teach them a thing or two about:
Snowboarding
Mountain climbing
NHL team managing (trades, drafts, system)
World championship parades (we've had 4 in 8 years)
and how about a little hospitality. With the exception of the East coast - I have never met so many miserable human beings as I did in 4 days in St. Paul (which if I were Minnesota Gopher fans I would have torched instead of our own campus).
Minnesota...10,000 rinks....the "State of Hockey"
....just not NHL playoff hockey

minnesota fans are still bitter about mario lemieux and the boys giving them a stanley cup ass whipping back in the early 90's...
The Flyers should have won in five with the way they played. I'm curious to see how they'll do against the Sens.
Ah, the playoff hockey.
