Since we got rid of cable a few months ago I watch Hulu. This was the first time I actually watched the TV in a while and it was extremely frustrating. I cannot believe how oblivious I was to commercials before. I felt so bombarded by advertising tonight. It sounds like I am just bitching but I am really just in awe of how normal it was before. Even with Hulu's shortened commercials it was a huge difference. Before we got rid of cable I was always just fast forwarding them so maybe that's why I never noticed but it felt very brainwashing! The sheer volume of them is frightening. I tried muting, looking away, but they are so flashy even muted they are so in your face!
