i really like this site. by my name it has these sentences that i guess are pulling information from my profile. and one came up and said john yates likes music, dancing and being naked.
tonight i did all three on stage.
but before i tell you about that. my work is going really really well. so before i told you that i got a job doing video editing and photo retouching.
it's a really small company. basically before i started working there it was just the photographer and makeup/hairstylists and occasionally he would bring in his friends to help, none of which are professionals. the guy has a really nice studio and is making decent money but couldn't expand because he just needed more help.
anyways he (my boss) is really cool. he bought me lunch everday this week. put up a news article on the site saying he was so excited to bring me on as a new staff member. and told me that anytime i wanted to do one of my own projects i could use his HD video camera and video lights.
so tonight he came to my show. let me explain something first. i am a very reserved person most of the time. when i am on stage i am nothing close to reserved.
tonight we had a lull in our set and our guitar player was having trouble tuning her guitar so someone in the crowd suggested i do a strip tease and i asked the rest of the crowd if they agreed and i got a pretty good response so yeah...

a bunch of people took pictures and i'm told that there was someone taking video so expect a youtube video soon. oh and apparently my boss and the model he brought with him really liked our set. but, he didn't believe that the quiet guy that comes to work everday was the same guy who jumped off of his bass player's cabinet and did a strip tease on stage.

i'm taking a break from the internet tomorrow to do some recording of my own for my side project. find some way to entertain yourselves until then

we'll all be looking forward to the pics/video i'm sure.
but you know, i'm pretty reserved and quiet myself... but at a party or bar or behind closed doors, i have a completely different personality. i love it. and i love that it catches people off guard.
