It seems that it's been a week already and I have yet to update. It's cause I'm lame.
My boss seems hell bent on putting off our big state of the union discussion. I want to see what I can get out of him paywise, but we also need to seriously talk about the future of the company and my role in it, We also need to talk about boring stuff like paperwork. I hope to resolve this by the end of the week.
My dissapointment for the day was stereo equipment. Last week I'd stopped by a shop that I do a lot of work for and the office manager had asked me if I knew anyone looking for a reciever. My 18yr old reciever is starting to get a bit wonkey, so I expressed my intrest. His new one was on the way from someone in ebay-land and he said he's bring the old one to the shop on monday. I stopped by today, cash in hand ready for new toys, and it seems that his payment wasn't recieved yet and it'll be another week. He also seemed less than pleased with the actual specs of the new one. I was all excited for a new stereo and had lined up a great deal on a record player preamp and everything, and it may be for naught. So sad.
I did, however, have an amazing weekend. It was chock full of merriment with the coolest chick I've ever met. Watched movies, listened to music, saw some killer alt-country (see WelnTaod's journal for details on the show) got some tasty free food courtasy of a friend of hers, and even spotted James. I obviously said nothing to her, but I did see a real live SG in the wild.
In other news, I'll be turning 27 this friday. Not a milestone by any means, by perhaps cause for reflection nonetheless. I've had a good month- I passed my test, and I found out that the girl I had the biggest crush on ever liked me. I'm feeling good about being me these days. If anyone's interested in going up to see my friend Laura play in Manchester for my birthday give me a ring.
