welp...car damage estimate is (drum roll PLEASE)........
.......$2419.63
good thing I only have to pay the $50 deductible!!! wooo! I think of it this way, I've been paying this insurance company about $1000 per year for the past 4 years so at least I'm FINALLY seeing some of my money back. And I paid about $6000 for my car, so that's almost half a car I'm getting haha (granted that's exactly what I AM getting........a new half of a car lol).
In other car related news (yeah guys...you know you love me talking about cars ) I got my rotors replaced today. Turns out my calipers were frozen up on both sides which explains why my rotors went to shit in a little over a year. A friend of my mom's got the new rotors and calipers and put them on for me for a measly $120 which I'm VERY thankful for!!!! The last guy who changed my rotors charged me $150 for JUST the new parts and he was probably the asshole who didn't change my calipers because he wanted more of my money since new rotors cost MUCH more than new calipers. grrrr

The day I sold my car and bought a good pair of sneakers was the day that replacing the brakes exceeded both my insurance premium and the blue book value of my 1994 GMC Jimmy. I hated the car so I was happy to be rid of it. With gas at 3.50 a gallon in the north east I think I am saving close to a three thousand dollars a year in maintenance, insurance in gas. I buy a new pair of running shoes to scoot around town in for sixty-five bucks every three months; and I lost weight. SWEET!!!!
