I realized the other day that I'm so much better at real life than I am at the internet, which is really hysterically funny. I've spent 10+ hours a week online (tats the minimum, i've spent many weeks of 100+ hours) every week for the past... 8-9 years. By comparison, outside of interaction with my three lifelong friends, i've only started being a social creature in real life within the past 4 years, and not very often at that.
So you'd think that with all my internet experience, I'd be adept at socializing online, but I'm not. It's because online I have the opportunity to go back and revise what I'm going to say before I say it. One thing leads to another, and in my fourth draft of my reply to a thread, I just decide "Well, this isn't that interesting anyway, so fuck it." In real life, I say stupid shit before I realize I've said it, but at least I've said something.
Anyways... I have orientation for my new job tomorrow. I'm fairly hopeful that this will be an interesting job. 12 weeks of transporting equipment, imaging computers, setting up networks, etc. I'm glad for the variety. I got paid a lot more when I was programming, but while I love programming, I don't love doing it for 8 hours a day every day.
Oh yea! I went down to EB Games today and preordered Advent Children, and I'm gonna head straight there from work tomorrow, pick it up, and watch it like, 5 times in a row. Werd.
