i got an email the other day from a good friend with the subject line, "a loose kite". loved the sound of it. just sort of kept playing with it in my head, repeating it over and over to myself. creativity is a bit like being insane, anyway. when i got home the other last evening, i kicked about the idea of going out and decided to hook up the piano, a mike and my favorite spring reverb unit and recorded a little demo.
it's just a sketch really, but i'm quite happy with how it's coming along. even thought the verse and chorus simply repeat, it doesn't really bug me at all. if you like, you can download a copy of the demo at: homepage.mac.com/tngregory 'loose kites', for your enjoyment.
tonight, i'm celebrating by watching 2001. ahh kubrick. so good for the head.

Oh Timmy!!! How I miss thee. We can go out for PB and pancakes whenever you want! Do you work today? Let's go to IHOP for lunch!!!
kismi:
Awe crap! My boss just came to my desk to remind me that she is taking me out to lunch for my birthday today (of course I acted like I totally remembered). ARG! I really do not want to go to lunch with the evil wench! What are you doing tonight? Can I come make you dinner? I can make either PB pancakes or stir fry with all of the fresh veggies I got at the LG farmers market on Sunday. Wadda ya say?
