I went to see my shaman today. Quite an interesting journey.
I'm also in the process of making a friends belly cast (a cast/mold of a pregnant belly. I did the paper mache' guaze stripes the other day and it was hard enough to put a gesso primar on it today. I'll sand it tomorrow and put another layer of gesso on it before totally decorating it. So stoked. This is part of my inspiration:

I'm also painting some fat birds with skinny legs on it and some really funky flowers. It will hang from purple and green ribbon that will be laced through some holes that I will drill (by hand with a bit) directly into the cast.

It will be displayed at the baby shower on the 28th and then it will go in Lola's nursery.
