I believe it was 2 weeks ago and I was watching the classic John waters movie...Serial Mom !!
If you haven't seen this and you like dark comedy then you really need to do yourself the favor and get this on your viewing device ! Plus it's on HBO GO at the moment so if you have it, use it.
It's all about the picture perfect mom and dad with their two teenage kids living in an American suburban neighborhood. And slowly but surely you start to realize something in the milk ain't clean. Particularly with mommy.
You start to see she is a little neurotic as well as very emotionally unstable. for example she leaves her neighbor threatening letters and phone calls after a mindless incident where she took her parking space over at a mini mall. Then with time these threats become more than verbal but turn into murder.
Don't want to spoil much but ricki lake plays her daughter (very typical John waters) and Matthew lillard is her son which is pretty cute. Came out in 1994 yet doesn't make you feel like your watching a 20 something year old movie.
It's on my list of movies to watch whenever I feel down, or in the mood for something silly and creepy at the same time.
