The motorized drum carder is finished and it works great...
Spent this morning with a friend in SE Portland who wanted me to see her new Imac, the computer in a monitor. What a machine. What resolution... what sharpness... a really great piece of engineering... and all in the confines of a flat panel display. So she gave me a demonstration of it. I am impressed. So now I want to switch from P.C. to imac. Also did our annual pruning of her Fig tree. The wood of a fig tree amazes me. It is very soft and white, sort of like boxwood. So I took a piece home to see how it would carve. Even though I'm by no means a professional pruner, she likes me to help her because of my Bonsai experience, so she tells me. Anyway it was fun to help her with it. She also gave me some plants, sort of a ground cover, so now I have work to do in the yard. A great sunny day and to spend with a great friend made it the highlight of my day.

I wish you & your wife the best. Knowing nothing about your situation, I offer the following: Hopefully she will understand that if you come home invigorated, you'll bring MORE energy home, rather than being less energetic at home because your energy was spent on the bike. Perhaps her disabilities would allow her to join you, even if only briefly, via a sidecar (some are made that a wheelchair rolls into). Then she could add the thrill of riding to her list of reasons to wake up and face each day with a smile. My apologies if I trespass, as I know nothing of your situation.
Again, welcome!
