See true stereoscopic 3D at the 3D Center of Art and Photography, 1928 NW Lovejoy, just off NW 19th street on Lovejoy in Portland, Oregon. Currently featured in the gallery section are black and white photos of stereoscopic nudes by a local amatuer photographer.
The stereoscopic slide show on Ellis Island runs until Feb 13th and recaptures old photos from antique stereo cards that were converted to slides. These were taken in the early 1900's when Ellis Island was at it's peak. The show then turns to modern day Ellis Island, the section that has not been touched since 1954, all in 3D. Also being shown is a continuous display of 3D images using shutter glasses synched to "page flipping" software on a computer.
Hours are First Thursday's, 6pm to 9pm and Fri. Sat. and Sun. 1 to 5pm. Just takes a small donation to enter.
