Okay, so I got some bittersweet news that you may already know about if you read the SGC Halloween party thread. I had been told that there was talk of sending me to Germany to work a few weeks there but my supervisor officially asked me if I was interested today. I am scared and excited about the idea of being on my own for that long in a foreign country. I know I will make friends fairly quickly but it is still a little overwhelming to think about. The ideal time to send me is around October and November which could affect many SGC events in my schedule. I asked that the trip be scheduled so that I could be here the last week of October if at all possible. Even though it will be colder in Germany then, I hope they wait until November to send me. I had my heart set on going to the PJ party, the Burlesque show and the Halloween party! I know it is a great opportunity to go to Germany for free but I want to have my cake and eat it, too damn it.

It is pretty damn awesome that I am the person that was chosen to go. I get to be the only person in the US (pretty sure) to learn how to use this software and then come back and teach it to my coworkers so we can decide if we want to use this design tool in our future nuclear plants. How awesome is that?! Wow, getting divorced and moving to Charlotte is leading to some pretty damn cool experiences for me. All that pain and sadness and depression was totally worth it if this is what was waiting on the other end.

I am so in one of those "I love you, man" moods now. I am really happy that I know you all. I am going to start working towards getting my first set on here now, too, bitches. It's about time you all saw me nekkid, don't you think.
