Hello my mint condition Betamax tapes,
Every once in a while, a set comes along that does not seem quite "on brand" for the range of aesthetics that SG normally maintains, but that is so compelling that quite obviously the powers that be simply couldn't resist.
Video Arena by @ascii most certainly falls into that category. It's one of those sets that left a lasting impression on me back in the day.

Now that is definitely the kind of material that would give the radio star a heart attack. Oh-aoh-ah!
