Hello my geographically challenged ground hog farts,
The Lorelei is a steep rock on the shore of the middle Rhine valley. The area was prone to shipping accidents due to heavy currents, which eventually led a bunch of German poets to invent stories of a pretty woman sitting on the rock singing and combing her hair, thereby unwittingly distracting the shipmen and causing them to crash into the rock.
Why am I telling you this? Well, the @lorelei is also a breathtakingly beautiful and talented model, photographer and singer in the middle SG valley who could easily make a bunch of shipmen crash into rocks. Her debut set is called Satin Sheets, and it is my pick for December 2003.
I am sure glad she is not in the habit of sitting around on rocks combing her hair. Or at least I hope so.
Oops! Please excuse me, I just accidentally drove my computer into the living room wall. No particular reason, happens all the time.
If I can salvage enough of the remains, I'll see you again tomorrow for another educational trip down memory lane.
Yours unsinkably,
Eliza
