Your cat is so cute (I love your slippers too). As for getting a dog, I expect that your kitty will be a bit jealous at first and she will probably spend a few days sulking and scowling and generally being mean to you and the dog but after that I expect she will (hopefully) make friends with the dog.
A fair few years ago, when I still lived with my parents, they had a cat (who'd been with the family almost as long as I had and who, clich of clichs, was called Moggy) and then my parents got a dog (a sweet Labrador called Gaffer). When my parents brought Gaffer into the house for the first time, he got really excited and bounced around sniffing everything until he ran up to Moggy (who was fast asleep, blissfully unaware of the betrayal which my parents had perpetrated right under her very roof) and poked her with his nose. By some strange feline magic, Moggy seemed to instantaneously teleport to the ceiling only to whiz down again screeching like an avenging angel sinking her claws into a somewhat traumatised Gaffer!
Things were a bit strained between them for a while after that but in time they became best friends.
It seems like the kitty will probably forgive you faster than she gets used to the dog....that is my expirience anyway. But if the dog is ok with cats then they should be fine eventually.
My mom and i always called cats "furry chickens" when they sit with their legs underneath them like that....because they look like they are roosting or something.
