*sigh of relief* i passed my ACE (Arithmetic Competency Exam) FINALLY!! See, when you're in the School of Ed for elementary or early childhood, you have to pass this exam before you can pass the Math T104 class (Math for Elem. Teachers). Even if you are doing PERFECTLY well in that class, if you don't pass the ACE, you don't pass the class. So I was starting to panic. Today, Friday the 13th, was the last chance I had to pass that test (I had taken it two times before). And once again, Friday the 13th turned out to be my lucky day! I passed!
I have one more test to go that will determine my grade for that class: my final exam this wednesday. I have no doubt I'll do well. Let's face it, Math for Elem. Teachers is not that hard. Even for me, Ms. Girl-Who-Sucks-at-Math.
So I'm set. Now I only have one more thing to figure out...
Do I keep trying to get into the School of Ed by continuing toward my Early Childhood Ed major, or do I stay in the school I'm currently in (Fine Arts-Studio Art)? Either way, I'll probably get out at the same time...but EEC will probably be harder, and yet I've taken far more classes in that concentration than i have for Fine Arts. Another part of this dilemma is, I don't really want to teach normal preschool, but Montessori, and the school I attend doesn't offer Montessori training. So I was planning to go to another school for my Montessori certification AFTER I graduate this school. Either way, I will be teaching young children. SO!! Should I get my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Ed and also a certification in Montessori Ed...or should I get a degree in Fine Arts-Studio Art and then my certification in Montessori Ed? I'm going on my 8th semester and I am in the same spot on both ends. PLEASE help me decide!

If I were you I'd get a degree in Fine Arts-Studio Art first because it'd be more interesting to do that course + you would learn more for *you* that way. Also if you're going to be in the same situation at the end either way I would rather learn something that would help build my knowledge + character
