Worst had to be selling "air filtration devices" door to door. They were really just vacuum cleaners... but I had to convince people that THIS vacuum cleaner was worth $2,000. I only sold 3 by the time I quit... after one boss tried to beat up one of my coworkers, and the other boss got hauled out of the office for sexually assualting my other coworker. (Don't get drunk at work and suck on people's fingers)
Scooping poop sounds great though. Hell I scoop about 10 tons a week just from my enormous mutt. I'm job hunting today anyway... I'm gonna see if there's any poop related jobs open. Thanks for the idea!
work! what a question! Work, per se, is the subject of an art show i'm putting together. i have found over the years that i'm simply not good at work. i mean, i'm good at the job, the necessary work, but not so much the idiot dance that surrounds it. thus the painting, etc. i hope to have it finished this fall, a whole series of monsterous pieces.
that said, the worst job? i was once hired as an assistant for gay bondage porno flicks, essentially a fluffer, but never actually went to the job. interesting intellectually, i suppose, but not for me. didn't know what it was when i went to interview. nice guy tho. as for worst, hmn, i suppose those for me the most mundane, the most tedious, the ones where if you don't fit in socially then you're screwed. it's like a constant weight around your neck, waiting to pull you down and you know it and they know it and so why not quit immediately? because you can't afford to. so you stay and they hate you and you them and it's all a terrible waste of time. in my next life i'd like to be reincarnated as a trust fund kid with a terrific sense of style and a wicked sense of humor. oh yeah!
