WEEK IN RECAP:
RIP Paul Newman.
Nick Cave was great, but the opening band was a snooze fest that I almost needed quaaludes to endure. Fact: Mr. Cave should get rid of his creepy pedophile used car salesman moustache. He sung at and pointed a finger at me. I managed to get this photo of him that wasn't half bad. Damn vaseline diffuse glow iPhone lens.
I almost got in a couple of fights, one with a zealous young groupie wannabe and the other with a drunken and surly woman that was older than me. The latter was rubbing on my ass something fierce and was also yelling and flipping off Nick Cave. Strange crowd overall.
Onward...
Test results = how in the hell did I end up having a cholesterol level of 277 over 113?
I promise you that I don't eat actual turds that are deep fried in Crisco!!!! My diet isn't half bad, honestly and I'm not THAT old.
The doctor didn't seem terribly alarmed though as the good cholesterol is also high. My blood pressure is also low, but not freakishly bad.
We're nearly moved to completion and I love love love the loft and the neighborhood. It reminds me in many ways of my old hood in Los Feliz. I wonder what the equivalent will be to Fred 62 and House of Pies here.
Today I interviewed at a Sephora, my current company's nemesis that I originally worked for in LA several years ago, right after SG.
However, the interview went awkwardly, and I'm 50/50 on the whole process. It wasn't me this time. The store manager liked me, I could tell, but the assistant whomever was very odd and made eye contact with everyone else but me. It might be a lateral move to work for them again.
Saw the fabulousness that is Sydni at the Tease-O-Rama at the Triple Door. All of the performers were terrific and I adore the venue.
Lastly, true or false: Fishnets make everything better?

And a resounding yes to fishnets.
