Here is a typical day of my life at the moment:
7:30-ish AM: Wake up or some reasonable facsimile. Feed cats, shower, present myself for the day, wear black. (I have to wear black for both work and school, no, I'm no longer GAWTH)
8:30-ish AM: Hopefully get to work by 8:30am, brave the extensive traffic to get 7 miles from home to work. Sometimes it takes over 45 mins. to get to work.
Work until 3-something PM: Then determine if it's gym day or nap day. (Every other day alternates)
Either take a nap or go the gym and pump it up.
6PM-10:15PM: Must be at school.
Leave school at 10:15pm, get home by 11PM usually, unless I have to deal with freeway closure bullshit, which happens more often than not lately.
Get home at 11PM, feed cats, try to wind down. Winding down proves unsuccessful most nights, so I usually get to bed at 1AM, unless my evil upstairs neighbor is doing his circus antics all hours of the night. I thought meth was passe, but I guess not.
Rinse, lather, repeat for the week.
Thursdays are Pilates day at a Pilates studio, not the gym. Gee, how high maintenance can I become?
Every other Saturday, I volunteer for a wonderful organization called AMRT (Animal Match Rescue Team). We help animals get adopted at kill shelters across the city, and we photograph the animals and write clever descriptions so they can get new homes.
I'm going to designate every other Sunday as eBay day, as my survival is imperative on getting extra funds somehow. I don't work enough hours during the week to sustain myself and school is getting cost prohibitive.
Oh yeah, I also have to find time during the weekend to study as we have tests and lectures every Monday. Good news is that I am halfway done with school. Bad news is, well, it's not that bad, it's just that I don't have a clear career path once I am done. Wouldn't be the first time!
So please don't take offense if I can't hang out. Weekends are also for catching up on much needed sleep, which then throws off my sleep patterns. This is the only reason that I wish I were younger so I could kick the shit out of myself without my body freaking out. 32 isn't bad yet, but I feel certain things more than others, and sleep deprivation now is a strange thing.
Give me a snippet of a "typical" day of yours.
