On the drive to school today, I spied a peculiar personalized license plate.
It was on a Toyota Camry, or was it a Nissan Altima? After awhile, I see enough of those during my commutes that they all blend into one another.
But not this plate.
THQ?GOD (edited to add, the fucking question mark is supposed to be a heart, now where's that heart symbol when I need it, how apt, haha)
I stared at it for quite some time, as we were nearly bumper to bumper.
The Q Love God? Thank you heart God? Thick Love God?
Thank you, love God? Thank you. Love, God. ???
My silly brain was imagining the worst, and it turned out to be a very timid- looking elderly woman behind the wheel. Thick Love God, indeed.
But that does sound like a rad band name, right?
I did my first paid facial in beauty school today, but other than the client and my school partner-in-crime L., school was a bit of a disaster today, honestly. Some things have occurred recently that put my trust in my instructors in question, long story, but some crapola went down today regarding a test that I was supposed to take after accruing 90 hours (fyi, I'm only at 56 hours, so no wonder why I didn't get every single goddamned question right.)
AND I was patronized, and you know how much I looooove that.
*also edited to add HOLY MUTHERFUCKING SHIT. The incomparable Robert Chouraqui has emailed me, and would like to shoot with me next time he is in Los Angeles.
The funny thing is that I was just mentioning him earlier today of people that I've like to work with, and lo and behold, amazing.
I've followed his work for years, and he's done some great stuff, especially with Dita von Teese.
Speaking of, you must must MUST get a copy of her newly released book. It's a necessity, as there are many photos in there that you will not find on her site or floating out there on the net too often.
Have a great weekend. I'll be fielding random modeling offers. I started "modeling" or whatever this is in 2000 at the ripe old age of 26, and I guess I still have it in me at nearly 32. What a wonderful world we live in.
