So I'm finally getting my next tattoo done within the next two weeks. I've been wanting this forever. My bff and I are getting it together, but since I have a million tats and she doesn't we're getting them in separate areas. No big deal. We were originally going to both get them on the left ribs over the heart under the arm, but my angel wings come around the side. The only other place I would want it (and the place I'd prefer it to be) is on my chest. Unfortunately, I still live with my mom and she said she would kill me if I got tattooed in certain areas. The chest being the absolute #1 no-no. A close second is my arms below the mid forearm. As long as a 3/4 sleeve covers them I'm cool (I'm barely in the clear on this one). I understand that as a registered nurse I can not have visible tattoos, but if I already have to wear long sleeves, what's the big deal with the chest? A shirt will cover that area...it's not like I'm getting my neck done!

If I just get it done without telling her first, I know she'll freak, but I also know that she'll get over it eventually. She likes all my other tattoos, it just took her time. What to do?
