To start things off - and I am going to ask this question in every journal entry from here on in until I get an answer - does anyone have a copy of the John Cassavetes film Husbands?????? PLEASE?? It has never been released in Australia - and isn't available new from Amazon or anywhere else. I've seen it on e-bay a few times - but I'm not quite prepared to spend $54 USD (the equivilent of about $85 AUD) when, knowing my luck, either the tape will break - or it will be released on dvd the week after I buy it. Any help in tracking down a copy of this movie will be GREATLY appreciated
I heard the Franz Ferdinand album today for the first time. After some degree of hype, my expectations were low, but I was still going in with what were probably over-critical ears.
I don't even know how to explain the feeling that I got from listening to this album. I enjoyed listening to the album in a way I can't remember listening to an album before (at least not in recent memory). I felt like I was riding on a roller-coaster -with a big stupid smile on my face the whole time. It's by no means the greatest album that I've heard (and probably not the best album I have heard this year) - but there was something that I can't put my finger on. I wasn't by any means excited about listening to the album. Anticipation was actually quite low. But listening to the album made me excited about it - and while I was loving each song, I couldn't wait to hear the next one.
In an unrelated matter - I am desperately in need of a new job - if only for the sake of my sanity and my soul. There has to be a perfect job out there for me somewhere. If anyone would like to pay me to come and hang out at their house, please let me know - and FAST. We can even talk and watch movies if it will sweeten the deal for you.
TOMORROW - 5,6,7,8's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Album of the Day: Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand
Quote of the Day (again): I could catch a monkey. If I was starving I could. Id make poison darts out of the poison of the deadly frogs. One milligram of that poison can kill a monkey. Or a man. Prick yourself and youd be dead within a day. Or longer. Different frogs, different times.
