I only have three official shows left this year. I'm slowing down on the promotions. I actually already quit being in the board of a non for profit back in July to make more time, now I'll slow down the concerts. I'll keep doing some, just not that many.

The plan is to work hard in my day job and make a bunch of money to travel and not to miss the summer festivals next summer because of too much stuff going on so I'll enjoy the concerts instead of putting them up!
But well the last ones have been very rewarding. Katatonia on September 22 was fucking great. Even with BLS playing the same night we had over 350 people at the Rickshaw. Great crowd, great bands, everyone was happy. Then last Saturday October 2 we had Raven. I thought it was going to be a disaster since we had like 15 sold tickets with three weeks off but we came to 80 presold day of show and about 120 total plus a huge guestlist so again, great bands, great crowd, great party!
I have another small one on October 24: Evile (UK), Gama Bomb (Ireland), Bonded by Blood (California). Three of the "new wave of old school thrash metal" bands. The guys from Evile are fucking great, we had them twice before (at the Overkill and the Kreator shows). Gama Bomb are one of my favourite bands from those.. it's going to be a fun fun party at the Red Room
Then the last two are really big ones. Dimm Borgir in November and Epica in December. I'm also helping Scrape Records to put Nevermore in November. Then we are also planning a benefit for the food bank in December mainly with local metal bands. and 2011 will be all about making travel money haha. I'm sure we'll still fit a show every other month or so, we'll see
how are you?

Hmmmm... I'm not really sure yet. Keep your eyes and ears open though. SGBC is pretty random with events! Aww, if I knew that Denise was staying this long I would have loved to hang out with her again. I thought she was only staying for a week. She's such a doll!
