this shocked me. its a review from one of my instructors. its from my guitar class.
Jason is a really likeable person. His attendance, participation, and involvement in class have been exemplary. He is the kind of student who helps to make everybody in the room, teacher as well as students, more comfortable. I know that he practices guitar more than most, and that he pays attention as well as anyone. My only advice to him would be to take more chances. I think he is better at playing music than he gives himself credit for, and that he should fight what might be (forgive me, Jason!) shyness or musical insecurity and allow himself to develop into the first-class musican that he could be. Jason has the potential to be a real Musician, with a capital M! And he will no doubt get an A in this course. But if he was taking private lessons, and I didn't have to worry about embarrassing him in front of the class, I would pump him up every week like a combination coach/cheerleader. Go Jason go! Don't hold back! Give it all you've got! Pour it on! You CAN do it!
the reason it shocked me....iv never thought i was that great a player. i see/hear people like tremonti play and my hero jerry cantrell and know im not there yet. thats the bar. i guess im on the right path though.
