DELAYED TOPIC (continuation): THE MASTER CLEANSER DAYS 7, 8
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Day 7
Started the morning bright and FREEZING, had two BMs w/o taking the SWF today. I'm surprised I managed that much, since it is about the high teens (with wind chill) outside and the PIPES ARE FROZEN. Heh, I had the hot water tap dripping too, but I guess the wind chill made that precaution irrelevant. So cold hiney aside, this morning I've taken another one of my Smooth Moves teas and hope to flush out whatever salt I may have started absorbing yesterday from a really non-productive SWF. No, I did not take my morning SWF as well. On the bright and sunny side, I've confirmed my weight over 2.5 days as now being 218 pounds. I was suspicious a couple of days ago, so didn't take it as the final number. But I semi-confirmed it yesterday and confirmed it again an hour ago. Not too shabby. Keep in mind that I am taking only one (1) tablespoon of the syrup in each of my LA doses, and I've reduced my liquid vitamin intake to two tablespoons a day (mostly because I can't be bothered to remember I have it in the fridge). BRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
One addition I wanted to make was that I finally was experiencing something that felt like a tension headache today. Based on the evidence, I cannot conclude that it was the diet, and that it was most likely caused by me wearing a beanie cap (like Frosty the Snowman wears). I don't do too well wearing headgear anymore, after years of it in the military during combat and peacetime, and for various jobs thereafter. If I do wear caps/hats for such it is usually for only a few hours before I'll remove it (unless it is freezing outside, which it has been). So I've worn this cap almost two days straight, and combined that with staring deeply at a computer screen and reading books for hours on end w/o resting...I believe I am the cause of the headache this time. HAH!
A strange thing has began to occur, in that I can now look dispassionately at restaurants and the names of restaurants or food w/o feeling a thing. What does keep invading my space is that annoying ECH monster. So I thought about it and shrugged to myself as again I realized that they are only memories of the foods I've eaten in the recent past. I'm pondering taking two days off after Day 10 in order to catch the last of Taco Bell's Steak Tacquito offer (TB rarely brings back the good ones for some reason). Then I'm going to go another 10 days, only slightly behind those who've started with me on this Journey.
But to conclude my lengthy story, I had quite a few BMs all day long thanks to the tea, and feel that I've managed to flush out a number of toxins and other poop (lol!) that were wedged somewhere between my grey matter and my dark matter (rofl!). These continued as light BMs all day up until bedtime. Feels good to remove the trash on trash day sometimes! I cooked up a day's batch of fresh lemons + added one non-organic lime to the mix (got it at Whole Foods but it didn't claim to be organic). Wheww boy was that tart! It even mixed with the juice of four other freshly terminated lemons to liven up the whole batch. Amazing really. I end the night with the scales claiming about 216 pounds. We shall confirm this a couple of times on the morrow. G'nite!
Day 8
I've lost so much weight so quickly that I can understand when others around me at work and elsewhere say that it is unhealthy. But consider this my friends, if what was lost was mostly water weight (which meant I was retaining water), isn't it natural for a detoxified body now working as it should to shed that water as unneeded? If I were actually fit and in shape with very little water mass remaining, then I can understand the reasoning that it is unhealthy as it would then impinge on your muscle mass or necessary fatty tissues (yes, there is such a thing). As it is I am still far from the "fit and in shape" that is my target goal. Losing the water weight seriously hasn't impacted me negatively in any noticeable way. In fact, I've now more energy and feel AWAKE and not simply plodding along in acceptance of the ordinary.
This morning I woke up dehydrated and with the leftover taste of lime juice in my mouth. I think both were due to me taking the tea and a final dose of LA immediately before bed, instead of 1-2 hours before like I should have. My fault entirely. But I'll say one good thing, taking the tea instead of the SWF yesterday morning really made today's SWF work quite well (heh, when it finally kicked in 45 minutes before work started!). On the bad side my water pipes froze up right before I was to jump into the shower, when not even 30 minutes earlier they were working just fine. Hrm, temperatures were about 21 degrees (F) with a wind chill making it about 18 degrees (F). Work today was interesting in that others began to ask me for the ingredients and measurements of the MC. And several were still shocked that I had lost so much in only seven (7) days.
I now confirm that I've lost exactly 20 pounds during the Master Cleanse. This by following the original directions but replacing about two tablespoons of maple syrup with an equal amount of the whole foods liquid multivitamin, and only taking one tablespoon of maple syrup with each LA dose, plus one tablespoon of MS with my SWF. I also drank about 4oz of water for each glass of LA, usually in the same drink (I use 12oz disposable plastic cups for mixing). Average drinks I get in a day are 6-8, although prior to the cleanse I could drink up to two liters of water a day or in between one 32oz Gatorade + a super-sized Sprite or Baja Blast Mountain Dew with my fast food meals. Billy Blanks also has some good ideas in his videos for light exercising.
Today still had me somewhat dehydrated, probably because I haven't been drinking as much of anything since work, so my eyes feel dried out (heh, combine underactive thyroid + LASIK + dehydration = severe dry eyes). Fortunately since my eye surgery I've always kept a stock of natural tear replacement tabs. Veeery handy methinks! I still stare dispassionately at restaurants yet crave the food my food memories promise (the work of the ECH monster no doubt). Obviously if I had given in to these cravings I'd eat a meal every two hours whether I was hungry or not (at least at the rate the food memories unfold, sheesh!). :lol:
