OK, finally...
Time is not on my side, that is for sure. Ready for the story? Well too bad cuz I'm going to tell it to ya anyways.
Lets see...oh yeah, first I moved. To Cleveland and stayed there for about week waiting to get my internet service back up. I received the notification of the service to begin but no installation package came.
My new place is great and I will put up some photos here in a minute. Great neighborhood, great retaurants. Fresh market 5 minutes from my house. anyhow...
After living there for a week my lovely car broke down. One day after work it just decided to stop running. Couldn't get it started. So as you may know, I work in Akron but now live in Cleveland. So it's about a 25 minute drive o a good day. So my number one priority is to make sure that I can get to work because it ensures that I can continue to live in Cleveland.
Now luckily my parents reside in Akron and they are right up the street from the bus stop. So I had to begin living at my parents and taking the bus to work until my mechanic(Ron) fixed my car. Well a week had passed and I still hadn't heard from Ron, all the while waiting for my internet package to arive in Cleveland where I wasn't even living, buy clearly paying for. Finally Ron explained that he had already put almost $300 into the car with parts & labor, but still could not figure out what was wrong. Now I only paid $500 for the thing and I didn't really want to put too much into it because it has almost 200,000 miles on it and the suspension is shit and so on and on...
So I says fuck it, I'll just figure something out. An employee of mine offered to lend me her winter car because it's no longer winter(duh) and her ex-boyfriend is insane and might try to stalk her and if this car is sitting at her apartment, it will be a beacon for him to hone in on. So lending me her car will actually be a favor to her. You're damn right it was a favor. Because when I got the damn car, the front brakes were bad. So I thought, hell, I can easily replace the front pads and all will be good. Right? My ass. I ended up having to replace the rotors, the calipurs, the pads and the front brake lines. So this all took about a week to do, meanwhile I had gone to Boston for a week in between that time.
My employee helped pay for some of the parts, but I figured if she lets me drive this car(1986 Saab turbo, baby) until I can scrounge up the bread to get a new used car, then all is well. Now the tires on this thing are so bald I'm afraid of getting a blowout. So I'm going to have to get some new ones. However she will be paying for those.
So after all that insanity, I lost the key to my old car and it is now sitting across from my parents house in the street. anoying the neighbors.
Nikki was alone in Cleveland while all this was going on and was very upset and lonely. New town, no friends, etc. Even though she is great and people like her, she avoided going out and trying to meet some new peeps. I don't blame her but she was giving me alot of grief about my car situation. Why am I spending money on a car that isn't mine, she'd ask? Cuz i need to. When am I coming home? I don't know. I thought you said you'd be done today. I thought so too, but they gave me the wrong car part, etc, etc, etc...So that was a nice ingredient to the whole saga.
So I have been back for about 3 days now. Living in Cleveland. Oh yeah I almost forgot. We have a cat now. Nikki found a little helpless kitten in the bushes in our back yard 2 weeks ago. We beleive he was accidentaly abandoned. He was so small and we've had to bottle feed him. He is twice as big now and very cool. His name is Salvador(not after Dali). We defintly are not ready for a cat, we haven't even adjusted to living with each other. However, Salvador was brought to us and we have saved him from helplessness and we'll keep him. He is very lucky because both of us will take very good care of him. Little bastard.
So it is good to be back, looking forward to catching up and seeing what is new in the air. I hope you all are well and feeling healthy.
I get to go mow the lawn now. Lucky me.
I almost forgot. While all this was happening right before I moved my computer got a virus, so I had to wipe the drive losing all my music and design programs. bummer dudes.
