Ok, I'm back.
Just returned from Washington DC where I, among family and girlfriend attended the Pro-Choice/Women's Rights march which included hundreds of thousands of others. It was absolutely great. I was fortunate enough to also attend the same march 12 years ago, but don't remember too much because I was on 3 hits of LSD. However I do remember some of it and I know the numbers were fewer. There were SO many people there this time. I could feel the power, seriously. It was a gentle kind, but very serious indeed. If i were the president, I would have been concerned.
We took a bus down Saturday night at midnight and arrived in DC I think around 9am. It was a miserably long ride and I could not sleep at all. We then attended some speeches and such until the march began at around 1:00. It was a river of people flowing through the streets and was inpenitrable. Just whe you though the flow of people would let up, it just continued on and on. The only people who were arrested interestingly enough were the anti-choice people. Some guy was throwing ink filled plastic eggs at folks. They all had pictures of dead, mutilated babies which to me does no justice to their cause.
What I really enjoyed was the peaceful atmosphere the entire time. Even though there were others who didn't agree with us, we never belittled them or insulted them. They were people too, who happened to disagree. I know some people were name-calling and the like, but those incidents were few.
It's a great feeling being a part of something like that. We as citizens have that duty to express who we are and when we want to see change. And we definitly need some change.
Nikki and I were approved for the apartment we wanted in Cleveland. I guess her credit is really good and mine sucks ass. This place is really great. It has 2 small bedrooms, a huge kitchen, a small living room(unfortunately), a sweet bathroom, a nice-size back room, tons of storage, a big back yard and a garden. For $725.00 month. That's only 362.50 per head. Thats 110.00 less than I'm paying now. I'm stoked.
Picked up some great tunes recently. The new Erlend Oye, Savath & Savalas, Autechre, To Rococo Rot, Simian, and more. Very happy with music collection right now. Buying an i-pod on Weds. for $200. 30GB.
I'm about to watch 'Full-Time Killer' and hit the sack. Hope everyone is well. I will comment soon.
