For this weeks @bloghomework I am going to share a couple of my favorite apps. Apologies for the tiny pics.
First up is Untappd. Its a "beer tracker" app. You rate and review beers, get suggestions, check out the full line of beers breweries produce, and keep track of beers you have tried. This is a life saver for me. I was always forgetting which beers I had tried out and about or bought randomly at Total Wine and even worse I couldn't remember which ones I liked! This app solved that problem. Now I can avoid beers I don't like and make sure I am actually trying new brews. Might I suggest this to @skullfuckery and @donyx the two on here I know for sure are big beer drinkers.
The other is Bandcamp. For those that don't know Bandcamp is a website that allows bands from unsigned to signed put up their music and merch. I first came across Bandcamp by discovering Cloudkicker (go look him up!). Bandcamp allows bands to sell their music at name your price (something others like itunes wont allow) or preset prices and in various formats from 320k MP3 to FLAC and others. The part that I like best is that Bandcamp allows the bands to reap the benefits of their sales. Bandcamp charges 10% for hosting the files, site maintenance, etc. therefore leaving 90% going straight to the artists. This is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the pennies bands get from itunes or fractions of pennies from Spotify. All of your purchases are available for unlimited free streaming on the Bandcamp app.
I hope some of you find these useful.
As always @bloghomework is brought to you by @missy @lyxzen and @ramen
