Hey Everyone,
This weeks @bloghomework from @rambo and @lyxzen compelled me to share my favorite artist with you. I could say Van Gough, Rodin, Picasso, or others that have been considered masters for years. But I want to introduce you all to someone who is not well known.
My favorite is Orange County based artist Jennifer Shaw (she has married and I believed changed her last name but her art was done as Jennifer Shaw). I don't recall exactly how I came across her but it was probably on social media from following her then boyfriend now husband, Riley the drummer for Thrice.
She mostly works does landscapes/skyscapes but does some abstracts as well. My favorite piece of hers is titled Synchro and is the one at the top of the blog. She also did a large amount of work focused on clouds, usually photography. She used to regularly share her cloud photos on IG and Twitter. Sadly, based on her website having not been updated in some time I am not sure if she is still actively painting.
