Well I broke down and got a new camera today. There was a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10, a $260.00 camera that had dropped down to $60. I figured it will hold me through until I can get my Canon fixed. Well, the Sony takes Memory Stick Pro Duo cards (of course) so I took on from my PSP and put it in my card reader to see what was on it and back up the files if I needed to. Well, when I put the card in, nothing happened, no window opening up, do dialog box popping up, nothing. I tried to open the card though My Computer and it locked up. I pulled the card out it it was hot. It looks like my card reader fried my card. I have a card reader on my printer, it just doesn't have a slot for memory stick duo, so out of curiosity I put in one of my Compact Flash cards that my Canon uses. The card was fried. The other CF card does open but I'm wondering if that card reader has been killing my cards and maybe there is nothing wrong with my Canon after all. I'm running up to Micro Center tomorrow and getting a cheap CF card and check it out. If it turns out that it was my card reader after all that means my Canon works and doesn't need to be repaired. That makes me happy. Of course that would mean I bought a camera pretty much for nothing. Well, it is smaller and easier to carry around and will be useful for casual picture taking. Oh, and it does take video, so that is a plus.
Oh, and my date tonight flaked out on me, gee what a shock. Seriously, the women around here suck.
