i am not sure what has inspired this return
to my early beginings. but--i have beeen listening
again very much to the first nick cave albumn
i ever heard. that being "your funeral...my trial."
i first heard this albumn nearly 20 years ago.
and while it may not be immediately accessable
to some... a deep appreciation for the
darker more brooding passionate feelings
is a pre-req for appreciating its subtler qualities.
this was an amazing albumn then and still is
to this very day. definately in
my list of top albumns of all time.
mere words do not do justice to its
timeless quality. it simply must be heard.
this man communes with strange angels.
it in many ways it has influenced me on so
many levels and has been a pivotal moment
in who i have become.
all hail st. nick.

commonman:
Wow. I haven't thought of Nick Cave in a long time. It's amazing how strongly an album or a book can influence someone, isn't it?
electric:
