hecates law: power and fear
within every fear there is a secret power.
power sometimes resides underneath layers
of fear that accumulate over the years.
power has nothing to do with manipulation for
personal gain.
fear is the signal that there is untapped or
unexplored potential residing somewhere
within the being of magic.
a fear of death may indicate an unrealized
and untapped potential to live more vividly
and with deeper presence to the possibilty
in every moment.
confronting fear with awareness and
choosing to move into the fears initiates the
transformation of fear into power.
this is the alchemical process.
to align with power, release from the
shackles of personal expectations and ego
fantasies and become fully present in the
reality of now.

fear is a driving factor in everything i do
As for movies and movie-making, I just saw Bright Leaves on PBS and it was really interesting. It made me think of you and your new movie-making outfit. Ross McElwee seems to film whatever strikes his fancy and then weave it together into a really good documentary that he claims is about something specific but is really an exploration of himself. Very interesting to watch.
