Still don't have a picture of the progress on my tatoo, but I have something even better to share. How would you like to hear the greatest rock song of all time? Well, maybe that's a bit of an exageration, but it's really great none the less.
Here's the story. A friend of mine knows a guy going to some technology school. For an assignment, he had to record a band. A bunch of really talented musicians got together and set out to record a really epic prog/metal song. They laid down all the music and some of the vocals before I came in. They wanted me to add something. I knew they originally wanted to make the song about robots attacking the earth, but the guy who sang on it came up with some other story about fossils or something. They wanted an excuse to use a robot effect, so I wrote a verse as Gloputron the leader of the robots. Based on my verse, they decided to rewrite and record all new vocals. I did my verse as the robot and I helped write the rest of the song. It's not meant to be taken seriously. I wrote the most ridiculous lyrics I could come up with, but yet the song still sounds really really good. All the musicians involved (except maybe me) are very talented and the producer did an amazing job aswell.
Performers:
John Morrison: Drums
Greg O'toole: Lead guitar
Mike Briggs: Rhythm guitar / narrator vocals / lyrics
Dave Briggs: Bass guitar / various screams and evil laughter / lyrics
Warren ???: Singing vocals
Jon Forward (me): Robot vocals / lyrics
Adam ???: keys / production
So without further adieu, here's the link to the MP3
