Just wanted to check in and Say Hello-
I also want to review my last couple of weeks.
Breakfast was fun at the T-Rock today- It was fun seeing everyone who came out
Monday Elinor left for India-- when she comes back she will be living at her parent's- no more of her old, pretty apartment- I will miss that place-
I saw Karen yesterday and we ate fruit and peanut butter, drank tea and talked about tropical vacations. I can't wait to go to mexico to learn spanish - we want to go in June and be beach bums in an immersion program. Either in Mexico or Costa Rica- I want to learn so I can get around South America better if I ever go there with my Salt Lick.
Speaking of Salt Lick, he and I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving break in Charleston, SC- with friends and parents and doggies. I love that little Abbie demon dog. She's a nutty little nugget. With a little row of teeth that stick out on her underbite.
The last day in Charleston, we rode bikes on the beach which is probably way up there on my list of favorite ways to enjoy myself. I would love to go somewhere and just ride my bike on the beach everyday- until I got sick of it and wanted to ride somewhere else.
We went to the Creative Electric gallery closeout sale and saw some arty things they were selling as gifts. The selection was probably better at the beginning of the weekend. I think i would like to sell some things there next year.
I just bought a new ironing board and a fantastic new iron. I decided I needed one if I am going to sew together the pink lycra spandex stomach I want to make for my puppet show. .... I also bought fabric to make lots of other things- so If I think about it before I leave- I will make a pattern from the skirt I love and want to copy and take it to Paducah to sew when I go home for the holidays. I have been looking for interlock cotton for a while and you can't really get it at Joanne or Hancock's- you can only get it here at Mill End Textiles or probably SR harris- but Mill End is pretty fab- and it's a lot quicker to get to. I saw some really nice Ralph Lauren wool fabrics for 5 dollars a yard. I was tempted because I love wool ,but I already have been trying to start more projects than I have time for- maybe someday I will look back and read this and remember when I thought I wanted to make a wool skirt- and either laugh or go out and do it.
Ok-
Gotta go work on the is stomach project. Check y'all later.
